Privacy policy

This policy covers the WINDOHR website operated by WINDOHR. It sets out every category of data the site handles. We have kept it specific rather than generic, so you can check it against what the site actually does.

1. What we collect

Information you send us through the quote form. Your name, company name (optional), email address, phone number (optional), and the project details you type into the message field. You choose what goes in that field, so please do not put anything sensitive in it.

Estimator data, which stays on your device. The bid estimator saves your project name, client name, line items, unit prices, quantities, and your labour, overhead and margin percentages to your own browser’s local storage. This never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser’s site data, or pressing Clear in the tool, deletes it.

Technical data collected automatically by our host. Our hosting provider records standard request information including your IP address, the pages requested, timestamps, your browser and operating system user agent, and referring URL. This is used to serve the site, and for security and abuse prevention.

Fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files directly from Google’s servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), which discloses your IP address and user agent to Google. See section 4.

2. What we do not collect

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, conversion trackers, session recording, heatmaps, or social media tracking on this site. We do not set any cookies of our own, and there is no login, so there is no account data. We do not use automated profiling or artificial intelligence to make decisions about you.

If we add analytics later, this policy will be updated before it goes live and the date at the top will change.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

• To answer your enquiry and price your job. This is the only reason we use quote form data. It is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract.
• To keep the site running and secure. Technical data is processed for our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the site.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you separately ask us to, and we do not add enquirers to a mailing list.

4. Who else sees it

We use a small number of processors, and no one else:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and delivers it. It processes the technical data in section 1.
• Resend delivers the quote form to our inbox. Everything you type into the form passes through Resend in order to be emailed to us.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and therefore receives your IP address and user agent when your browser requests them.
• Our email provider holds the enquiry once it arrives in our inbox.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if we are legally required to.

5. How long we keep it

Quote enquiries stay in our email system for as long as we need them for the job and for our business records, and are then deleted. Host logs are retained by Cloudflare according to their own retention schedule, which is short. Estimator data is not held by us at all.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form.

California residents may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion or correction, and are entitled not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and the quote form is submitted over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

This site is aimed at construction and trade professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
